Howdy Howdy all! It is yours truly environgirl , and I am back from my spendid vacation! I really had a stone gas (or whatever the kids are saying these days)! I have a ton of stuff to report to you all in the coming days, weeks, months (just kidding, dont panic). There was hiking, canoeing, spa visits, and Spaten Optimator (my absolute favorite beer, I think it is the darkest you can drink before you go stout. That's right, that's how I do it)! I wasn't gonna drink any alcohol at first and I have witnesses who can attest to the fact that I refused it at first. But then it was the last day of my trip and I was having sausage and kraut (not the sausage of a Kraut! hahaha...okay, okay that was really lame) and I simply couldnt resist my friend the Optimator.
I will talk to you all later today until then how about some poetry...here goes....
The More Loving One
Looking up at the stars, I know quite well
That, for all they care, I can go to hell,
But on earth indifference is the least
We have to dread from man or beast.
How should we like it were stars to burn
With a passion for us we could not return?
If equal affection cannot be,
Let the more loving one be me.
Admirer as I think I am
Of stars that do not give a damn,
I cannot, now I see them, say
I missed one terribly all day.
Were all stars to disappear or die,
I should learn to look at an empty sky
And feel its total dark sublime,
Though this might take me a little time.--W.H. Auden
