Howdy all! I had a happening Sunday. I had another skate date which was fantastic. Although we did have adiscussion about the nature of our association. Celibacy is a lot trickier than I thought, it was never really an issue at first but now.....ugh I dunno, I just miss that kind of contact (I know, I'm a SHAMELESS TROLLOP). He is nice and all but not for me necessarily. Anyway the date was good even though I was slightly irritated briefly by someone. Oh well no worries, I meditated, it rained(which always lifts my blues away) and the negativity disipated. I think I will get into the poetry immediately because this one seems apt for today's mood.....so here goes.....
Acquainted With The Night
I have been one acquainted with the night.
I have walked out in rain - and back in rain.
I have outwalked the furthest city light.
I have looked down the saddest city lane.
I have passed by the watchman on his beat
And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain.
I have stood still and stopped the sound of feet
When far away an interrupted cry
Came over houses from another street,
But not to call me back or say good-bye;
And further still at an unearthly height,
O luminary clock against the sky
Proclaimed the time was neither wrong nor right.
I have been one acquainted with the night.----Robert Frost
This poem speaks to what I have felt on more than one occassion. I look inward to spy on and sometimes live in league with the demons of the soul, which is sometimes a lovely lovely thing. Light and Dark must exist together otherwise neither can exist at all.
All for now....
