The brave don't live forever. The cautious don't live at all.--shango

Sitting in Nature and reflecting on a day of over indulgence and consumption!

"Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty"---Albert Einstein

This quote is so apt today because I watched people move about in their invisible prisons trying to fill the holes in their souls with picture frames and santas made in China by people who likely will not enjoy the kind of over-indulgence that the folks I serviced today will.  People are at their absolute worse during the so-called "most wonderful time of the year".

Don't get me wrong, being able to buy the things that you want/need is great. Hell the two retail jobs I am working this holiday season are gonna help me get to Arizona to visit friends.  This may not be possible if it were not for the unfillable void we feel as we further disconnect from nature and embrace all those man-made artificial "conveniences" that are touted as "civilization".  Who will save us from ourselves? Target? Walmart? A clear and beautiful stream teaming with life and sustenance? Will we wake up from our nightmare in time I wonder?  Points to ponder.......

At any rate I am tired as I worked one job from 7am-2pm and the other from 3pm-10pm.  I worked out this morning for an hour before and it helped with my energy level as well as the 24oz of home-brewed Ginseng tea that I took with me for the day.  I am thankful to be home in the company of my plants, good music and chamomile tea (yes Myclette just tea for me, no tranquilizers LOL).  Be good to yourselves and your Mother Earth she needs you as you need her.

Goddess Bless
