Howdy Howdy all!

I forgot to show you the pics I took from the Roman Bachnaal weekend of Ren Faire! My and Torridgirl  Had a great time and she once again did the bulk of the work on  my costume and made her own as well! She is fantastic and is working feverishly to get her computer fixed so she can rejoin the mindsay party!

anyway here is me...aint I a doll. You dont have to answer that! Doesnt that topiary look like it's being balanced on my head?! LOL!!!

and now here is Torridgirl! How adorable is that? Checkout the fancy headdress I made MYSELF out of the fake foliage you buy at Michael's! That's right grape leaves and bunches! Talk about fancy! My favorite part of the Faire is always the fireworks because there is a bagpipe ensemble that plays feverishly the whole time the fireworks are going. Here is a video snippet... Oh well that is all for now. I gotta meet up with the Cocoa Goddess to study! How about some poetry....here goes....

Secret Poem

Yes. I have seen the end, and yes
I was disturbed by what I saw.
That I yet glimpse occasional
and frankly stirring satisfactions
in the way the paper draws the ink
may prove one mode of consolation.

That I continue to appreciate
a morning walk, an evening's
intercourse should also speak
encouragement, no? The end
appalls. Quite so. Though I wouldn't say
the end appalls more fully

than the interim. The present
situation—electoral
absurdity, real TV, unprovoked
slaughter thoroughly explained—such
assaults attain a state insisting
that the end arrive, and quickly.

The past is ever with us, but most
have pared it to a less demanding
heft, utilitarian. For me, the past
has become lately my own
articulation of that scene
