Howdy howdy all! Its getting down to the last few days before my camping/spa vacation with one of home slices. LOL! that was a little 70s lingo for my foxier readers. Okay, I have EVERYTHING squared away I believe and have printed maps to and from every single place we need to navigate to and from, I think. i say that I think because I am sure that something will come up that I have no contingency for and the Hijinks will ensue. But hey, I figure that I will at least get a funny story to share out of such a situation. Well my writing portfolio is DUE on the 3rd of April for graduation in May. Can you believe that? that is less than a month away and I am still trying to decide which essays to use. Sigh, oh well never fear I will likely have it finished in JUST enough time to slid the damn thing under the Department Chairs door before time is up.
Hey has anyone been whale watching? There are a number of places in Maine that offer such adventures and one of my roommates asked if I was interested. I am going to Maine this summer for a week with my roommates and one of my old professors is gonna meet me to talk about some writing opportunities. Of course I had only the title to clue me in as to what it was but eagerly said YES when she asked if I wanted to. I figure it must be fun if it is outside, has whales and water. Right? Well it doesnt matter because I have never done it and can only know if I like it if I do it. So if you or someone you know has whale watched, give me the 411 on the subject. I dont really have a lot to say today because I am pre-occupied with a number of issues and need to sort them further before I share them. So until later my friends, how about some poetry, I may have posted this one before but I am in this kinda mood right now so here goes.....
Wild Nights--Wild Nights
Wild Nights – Wild Nights!
Were I with thee
Wild Nights should be
Our luxury!
Futile – the winds –
To a heart in port –
Done with the compass –
Done with the chart!
Rowing in Eden –
Ah, the sea!
Might I moor – Tonight –
In thee! --Emily Dickinson
